Week 2 Debrief

This week flew by again, and I feel like it only gets better. The beginning of the week started off with a bang with the guest, and learning more about the different roles of news anchors offers a different perspective on what I could possibly do in the future. Sitting in class listening to all the new views on advertisements and how design is so intentional really made me reevaluate all designs I’ve ever seen in my life.

This week definitely felt more hands on, which I really enjoyed. Sitting in the other Annenberg building and recording in a studio with professional level equipment definitely made me feel like I was already a pro with my own podcast.

I although I’ve been to the Natural History Museum many times before, I think this time I was really able to explore how I wanted to, by wandering through the different exhibits, snapping photos at the artwork, and drawing pictures. The best part about the museum for me was the exhibit on the different jewels and gemstones, I loved seeing the different kinds of shiny rocks placed together to create a beautiful display.

While watching the news anchors for the broadcast I couldn’t help but feel a sense of want for their position. Being able to be in front of the camera would be something new to me, since I am usually the one behind the camera for school. Through this program my aim is to experience more and build up new skills that I can take with me.
