Week two has been quite a whirlwind, to be frank, I didn’t think I’d make it through. The early mornings and the ever packed schedule made this week quite difficult, but it has been a rewarding and most definitely enjoyable experience. Despite being constantly exhausted, there’s the satisfaction of being able to get everything done––even if its a tad late. The structure and constant activity, while difficult, also allows for constructive devotement. It’s as if by remaining constantly busy helps sharpen my focus and push me toward growth.
One of the highlights of the week was our visit to the Natural History Museum. This was a learning experience in storytelling and design. Seeing how the museum creators constructed exhibits demonstrated the care and intentionality goes into communicating complex ideas. The many facets that they portrayed stories, animals, and even life served as a view into the mind and thoughts of those who made them. Through visuals, artifacts, and narratives, they explained the intricacies of culture in a way that was accessible and compelling. It made me think about how we as learners and creators can do the same—how we can use design and media to explain, persuade, and inspire.
Teamwork has also played a central role this week. In every project, collaboration has been essential. While juggling busy schedules, my team still managed to make tremendous progress. It’s not easy coordinating with others when everyone has so much on their plates, but we’ve learned to adapt, communicate clearly, and support one another. Our progress is a direct result of that effort, and now, as we near the final stages, it feels like we’re finally seeing the pieces come together. The excitement of moving toward the final product is starting to build, and even though there’s still work to do, it’s motivating to see how far we’ve come.
Another important aspect of the week has been the focus on podcasts. Podcasts have proven to be a unique learning tool—not just as something to listen to, but as something to analyze and create. They’ve given us insight into how stories and information are structured, delivered, and refined. Through podcasts, we’ve explored the behind-the-scenes work of producing meaningful content: from scripting and editing to the subtle dynamics of tone, pacing, and audience engagement. It’s fascinating to think of podcasts not just as entertainment but as a modern method of knowledge distribution. They show how powerful communication can be when done thoughtfully.
Overall, this week has been tough, but in the best kind of way. I’ve been challenged physically, mentally, and creatively—but I’ve also grown in each of those areas. From early mornings to the late nights I would be up stressing, from museums to podcasts, this week has been full of learning, collaboration, and creative exploration. If week one was about getting oriented, then week two has been about digging deeper—into the work, into the process, and into the possibilities of what we can make when we work together.
