This week we talked about how Childish Gambino song “This is America” Is trying so send a message to all the world with his song. The message that he try’s to spread over the world is that black people live together and die together in their fight against injustice.
“Donald Glover” try to create a “moment” to reflect the culture of 2018. The impact that this song gives to the world is the message to those who are distracted from the issue in this country. To those that have not paid attention to the controversy of gun violence or are ignorant to the plight of the black community.
Using hip hop as a way to speak freely. Hip-Hop allowed people to stress their grievances through art, fashion, music and language. Hip-Hop was birthed when all of these were brought together, during the 70s and this form of expression was now able to touch several different parts of the world.
