Hello my name is, Pedro Madrigal and this is my Journal for the first week,
In this week we got introduced to a lot of topics of Civic Engagement, In June 19, 2023 We talked about Juneteenth.
Juneteenth is a federal Holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Also called “Freedom Day” Why is it important? Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the U.S.
How Civic Media plays a big roll in the world!
Civic Media plays a roll in our community because it ensures the diversity of inputs and mutual respect necessary for democratic deliberation.
How does Civic Engagement plays a roll in our lives and in our communitys.
Neighborhoods with higher levels of civic participation have a great sense of community, lower levels of crime, and citizens who are healthier and happier.
